This season hasn't been kind to The Alto Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their tenth game. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 35-18 to Carlisle. Alto was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carlisle apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Carlisle was led to victory by Tony Ibarra and Jonathan Lopez. Ibarra rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, while Lopez rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Alto's loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for Carlisle, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Alto will head out on the road to face off against Beckville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Beckville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last nine games. As for Carlisle, they will face off against Lovelady at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lovelady is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
