Monticello is 9-1 against Warren since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Billies will host the Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. Monticello will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Monticello is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 21st on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Star City 3-2.

Ashley Hales was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Warren, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Crossett 14-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Ember Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Reep, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Monticello pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Warren, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Monticello has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Warren struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Monticello took their victory against Warren in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 20-9 score. Will the Billies repeat their success, or do the Lumberjacks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
