The Collierville Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington. Collierville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arlington apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Arlington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rj Tate out in front who scored 15 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Tate has scored at least 25% of Arlington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Turner, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Collierville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Arlington, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Collierville will be playing in front of their home fans against Bartlett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bartlett presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Collierville in Tennessee (Bartlett is ranked second, while Collierville is ranked 85th). As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to face off against Germantown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Arlington likes a good challenge.
