Having just played yesterday, the Legacy Charter Eagles will get right back to it and host the Horizon Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Legacy Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mount Dora Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Legacy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Mount Dora Christian Academy is ranked 162nd).
Despite the loss, Legacy Charter saw an underclassman step up: Khori Polarchy scored 24 points. The game was Polarchy's third in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Horizon entered their tilt with Lake Buena Vista with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Horizon enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over Lake Buena Vista on Tuesday. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Horizon did.
Adonys Christo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for he. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Webb, who scored 15 points.
Legacy Charter now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Horizon, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.
Things could have been worse for Legacy Charter, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-43 loss to Horizon in their previous meeting back in December of 2021.
