Pillow Academy hasn't had much luck against Hartfield Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will take on the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Hartfield Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pillow Academy, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Pillow Academy earned a 3-1 win over Heritage Academy. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
The final score came out to 25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Hartfield Academy came up short against Jackson Prep on Thursday and fell 3-1.
Hartfield Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Jackson Prep work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23.
Pillow Academy will have to keep a close watch on Bella Vega and Logan Swan, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hartfield Academy's prior game. Vega had 19 assists and six digs, while Swan had 16 digs and two assists. Vega is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Pillow Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Hartfield Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
Pillow Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hartfield Academy in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
