While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, The Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks were not quite the Keswick Christian Crusaders''s equal in the second half on Friday. Cornerstone Charter Academy took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keswick Christian. Cornerstone Charter Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Keswick Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Khaiwyn Marsch rushed for -8 yards and two touchdowns. Jeremiah Wade was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Micah Cleveland rushed for 55 yards.
Keswick Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Pauley-sherman led the charge by rushing for 131 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 62 yards and a touchdown. Cooper Craig got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Keswick Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Cornerstone Charter Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Keswick Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saint Francis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
