The Brookwood Panthers were the 33-18 winner over the Northside Rams when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Brookwood received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 50-32 to Northside. Brookwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Claire Jones led the charge by scoring 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bekah Boyd, who scored ten points.
Brookwood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Northside, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Winfield at 6:15 p.m. on December 28th. Northside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
