The Argonaut Mustangs's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over Bret Harte. The victory was just what Argonaut needed coming off of a 83-53 defeat in their prior matchup.
Argonaut was led to victory by Ryan Duran and Mitchell Mcmahan. Duran scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Mcmahan dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Mcmahan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Everett Holt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Argonaut's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Bret Harte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.
Argonaut will head out on the road to face off against Calaveras at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calaveras focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Bret Harte, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sonora at 7:15 p.m. Sonora is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
