Football Game Recap: Owendale-Gagetown vs. Akron-Fairgrove

After a disappointing zero points in their last contest, Owendale-Gagetown made sure to put some points up on the board against Akron-Fairgrove on Friday. Owendale-Gagetown took the match and then some with a 56-0 victory over Akron-Fairgrove. Owendale-Gagetown were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Owendale-Gagetown take on Caseville at 7:00 PM. Unlike Owendale-Gagetown, Caseville will be limping in after taking a loss. Akron-Fairgrove will be staying on the road, facing off against Merritt Academy. Akron-Fairgrove's defense better steel itself: Merritt Academy are averaging 31.33 points per game.
