Falcon is 8-1 against Mitchell since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Falcon Falcons will look to defend their home court against the Mitchell Marauders at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Falcon has five straight wins, Mitchell has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Falcon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Elizabeth 76-14. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.

Falcon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cobelyn Wiesner out in front who went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points and three steals. What's more, Wiesner also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024. Alexis Hunter was another key player, going 6-for-12 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds.
Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 25 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Mitchell came up short against Sierra on Tuesday and fell 41-28. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Stallions are ranked 153rd).
Falcon will need to focus on slowing down JayCionna Fisher, one of several Mitchell players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 15 points and six boards. That was a full 53.6% of Mitchell's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Roberts, who had four points and five rebounds.
Falcon pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points over those games. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Falcon has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Mitchell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Falcon against Mitchell when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 60-18 victory. In that match, Falcon amassed a halftime lead of 35-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
