After flying high against the Athens Drive Jaguars last Wednesday, the Heritage Huskies came back down to earth. Heritage received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 51-37 to Knightdale. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heritage has scored all season.
Knightdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Green, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Green is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Khaim Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Knightdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Rolesville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is facing Rolesville at the right time seeing as Rolesville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Knightdale, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wakefield at 7:45 p.m. One thing working in Wakefield's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
