Northeastern Clinton is 2-8 against Beekmantown since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Beekmantown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Northeastern Clinton was able to grind out a solid win over Peru, taking the game 56-46. That 56-46 margin sets a new team best for Northeastern Clinton this season.
Jordan Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Colton Castine was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Beekmantown came up short against Plattsburgh on Friday and fell 64-55.
The victory got Northeastern Clinton back to even at 2-2. As for Beekmantown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Northeastern Clinton skirted past Beekmantown 50-48 in their previous meeting back in February. Will Northeastern Clinton repeat their success, or does Beekmantown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
