After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Juliet Christian Academy, the Dayspring Academy Shires were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 77-46 win over United Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dayspring Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading Dayspring Academy to victory were John-Michael Martin and Jordan Jackson. Martin scored 14 points along with 25 assists and 11 steals, while Jackson almost dropped a double-double on 37 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Wade Owens, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
Dayspring Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-19. As for United Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Dayspring Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Metro Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Metro Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Dayspring Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for United Christian Academy, they will square off against Currey Ingram Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (United Christian Academy is ranked 437th, while Currey Ingram Academy is ranked 430th).
