After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, the Golden Sierra Grizzlies brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against Vacaville Christian on Monday as Golden Sierra made off with a 6-3 win. The victory was just what Golden Sierra needed coming off of a 3-0 defeat in their prior contest.
Golden Sierra was without their leading scorer, Carter Brust, in Monday's contest. With Brust sidelined, Golden Sierra had to make some changes to the lineup. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Padrick Kelley scored two goals, while he put up an assist.
Golden Sierra's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11-2. As for Vacaville Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Golden Sierra will head out on the road to take on Capital Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Capital Christian is coming into the matchup with eight straight losses at home, so Golden Sierra is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Vacaville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
