The Grandview Eagles were the 26-21 winner over the Chaffee Red Devils when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Grandview had to suffer through a rough 41-6 loss at the hands of Chaffee. Grandview just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Despite the loss, Grandview still got an impressive performance from Nash Moore, who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown.
Carson Spies went supernova for Chaffee, rushing for 245 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Spies was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Shelton Simmons also helped out as he racked up 109 rushing yards.
Grandview's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.7 points per game. As for Chaffee, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chaffee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Van-Far at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Van-Far is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
