The Bogue Chitto Bobcats waltzed into their game on Thursday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They walked away with a 73-62 victory over Loyd Star. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Nathan Mills and Colby Terrell certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mills scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Terrell dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Caden Yarborough was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Bogue Chitto's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for Loyd Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
Bogue Chitto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Loyd Star won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
