The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-34 walloping at the hands of Wellington School. Berne Union has struggled against Wellington School recently, as their game on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Skyler Nicholson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wellington School, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The contest was Nicholson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Wade, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Berne Union's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wellington School, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berne Union will take on Miller at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Miller focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for Wellington School, they will be playing at home against Bishop Rosecrans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
