Softball Recap: Fairfax Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Fairfax entered their tilt with Central on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over the Bobcats. Considering the Stampede have won eight matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Nia Hardin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Sienna Bernard also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fairfax always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .838. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Fairfax's record now sits at 12-6. As for Central, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Fairfax will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
