Tyler Maddix made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Maddix was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kellen Andruscik was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Jamin Brock was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Bishop Canevin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Monessen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-3 to Washington.
Monessen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RJ DiEugenio, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Monessen's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bishop Canevin, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Monessen's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bishop Canevin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. It's a different story for Monessen, though, as they've only averaged .291. Will they be able to contain Bishop Canevin's hitters?
