Philip Barbour found their leader in underclassman Izzy Knotts, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Arrington Sparks was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight steals.
Philip Barbour's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Grafton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Philip Barbour will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Midland Trail at 1:15 p.m. on December 28th. Grafton will be home for the holidays to greet Fairmont Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairmont Senior will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Grafton is ranked 23rd).
