WPIAL AAA Parkway recap Sept. 26, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Moon Area, who took down 160th ranked Moon Area, 41-17.
Ambridge moved up to 102 from 284 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL AAA Parkway. The Bridgers climbed the ranks as a result of a 41-17 win over the Tigers.
Central Valley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nate Climo threw for 151 and two touchdowns and Robert Foster had 125 yards receiving. On the ground Jordan Whitehead chipped in 88 yards. Kody Kincaid helped Central Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
6-foot-5 quarterback Chandler Kincade of Blackhawk is the league leader in passing yards this season with 706. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, the Warriors' Whitehead has rushed for 432 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Devin Wilson. The Montour star has 25 catches for 459 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Central Valley takes on West Allegheny. As it stands, Mark Lyons's team is in third, while the Indians are in first.
Ambridge was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to fifth in WPIAL AAA Parkway. Neil Tkatch's team beat Moon Area 41-17 earlier in the week.
