Meanwhile, Southern Fulton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Colt Mann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jett Burger was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Joel Fitz was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Southern Fulton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shanksville Stonycreek only posted an OBP of .412.
Southern Fulton pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Northern Bedford County, their record is now 11-8.
Northern Bedford County suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Southern Fulton in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
