The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elysian Fields in their matchups with Shelbyville: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kerrigan Love, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Elysian Fields has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Shelbyville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
Elysian Fields and West Rusk will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Rusk is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Shelbyville, they will head out on the road to face off against Joaquin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Joaquin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Saturday.
