Lawton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fletcher Wildcats. One positive for the Wolverines, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Kegan Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Corbyn Swift was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Lawton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Fletcher, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Lawton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Lone Grove on the 18th. As for Fletcher, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-3 defeat against Comanche on the 18th.
