After flying high against Paw Paw on Thursday, Niles came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the New Prairie Cougars by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Niles' loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for New Prairie, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niles will venture away from home to square off against Kalamazoo Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Prairie, they will take on South Bend Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
