The Klein Oak Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Klein 51-31. Given Klein Oak's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Klein is ranked 546th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Klein Oak was led to victory by Kiana Vega and Khloe Vaughn. Vega scored 16 points, while Vaughn scored 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Vaughn has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Londyn Colon, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Klein Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Klein, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
