The Au Gres-Sims Wolverines will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Hale Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Au Gres-Sims focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Au Gres-Sims came up short against Hillman and fell 61-52.
Despite the defeat, Au Gres-Sims saw an underclassman step up: Sophie Fox dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fox has scored all season. Lillie Maser was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Even though they lost, Au Gres-Sims were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hale scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. Everything went their way against Atlanta as Hale made off with a 46-22 win. Hale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.
Au Gres-Sims' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hale, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Au Gres-Sims strolled past Hale in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a score of 43-28. Does Au Gres-Sims have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
