After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Quality Education Academy, the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They secured a 38-32 W over Christchurch School.
Miller School of Albemarle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Jackson out in front who scored eight points along with three steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Parker Braxton, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Miller School of Albemarle's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-10. As for Christchurch School, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Miller School of Albemarle will head out on the road to take on The Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christchurch School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Atlantic Shores Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Atlantic Shores Christian is ranked 206th, while Christchurch School is ranked 223rd).
