While Oak Park-River Forest might've come up empty on Friday, Carolyn Rainey wasn't going down without a fight. Rainey wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over 8.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off 14 hits. The pitching appearance was her third straight with six or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Rainey and Oak Park-River Forest will challenge Lockport at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Rainey's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Huskies' seven-game streak of wins on the road.
