Northeastern put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 victory over the Kokomo Wildkats.

Leading Northeastern to victory were Adysson Kircher and Ava Mikesell. Kircher went 9 for 13 on her way to 24 points and three steals, while Mikesell went 9 of 17 on her way to 22 points and five steals. Mikesell has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Angi, who posted three points in addition to 14 rebounds and four blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Kokomo lost, don't look at Makaela Drake. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on her way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Amara Stroman, who put up nine points.

Northeastern's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Kokomo, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-34 defeat against Cathedral on the 28th. As for Kokomo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-55 loss against Lafayette Central Catholic on the 28th.
