The Piedmont Panthers will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against the Anson Bearcats at 5:30  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Piedmont comes in on eight and Anson on four.
 West Stanly typically has all the answers at home, but  on Friday Piedmont proved too difficult a challenge. They really took it to the Colts for the full four quarters, racking up a  71-42 victory on the road.
  Miles Leaks was  his usual excellent self,  shooting 6-for-10  from downtown and  almost  dropping  a double-double on 29 points and nine  rebounds.  Brady Drake was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Anson has not done well against West Stanly recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Anson strolled past West Stanly with  points to spare, taking the game  88-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
  Jayden Little continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 42 points along with seven  rebounds and six  steals. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of Anson's points. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Robinson, who  scored 20 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Piedmont has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 13 matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record  this season. As for Anson, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Piedmont  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 29  rebounds per game.
