South Granville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Granville Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. South Granville put the hurt on Durham School of the Arts with a sharp 16-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Chaleigh Currin made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Addisen Goodwin was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Abigail Shaeffer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
South Granville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durham School of the Arts only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Granville Central challenged Carrboro on Friday. Granville Central lost 14-1 to Carrboro. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
South Granville pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 12 hits in those games compared to only 5.4 in the others. As for Granville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
South Granville took their win against Granville Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 24-0. Will South Granville repeat their success, or does Granville Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
