Baseball Recap: Benton Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Benton Central came into Tuesday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Attica Red Ramblers 10-1 on Tuesday. The Bison not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28th (when they won 16-6).

Nolan Winkler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lucas Snyder was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Maclynn Elliott was another key player, earning three runs and one stolen base.

Benton Central's record is now 6-20. As for Attica, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19-1.

Benton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Attica, they will challenge Covington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Ramblers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
