When it comes to explaining why Victory Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Haley Hendrix. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hendrix hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Brisendine, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Allison Wormely was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 blocks for Jefferson Christian Academy. Wormely has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Washington, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Victory Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
