AA West recap Oct. 30, 2012
Beulah made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,045 from 3,907. The advance stemmed from a 36-21 victory over Wahpeton last week.
The Miners led AA West in scoring this week after putting up 36 points on the Huskies. Trevor Zacher threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns and ran for six yards in the win.
Beulah's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Cody Nelson chipped in 108 yards. Brett Koch helped Beulah's passing attack out by catching four balls for 50 yards.
Nelson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Miners bested Wahpeton. Nelson tallied five receptions for 92 yards.
Beulah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Miners feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zacher has thrown for 1658 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Nelson has 36 catches for 647 yards. Karson Hintz leads the league in rushing with 1317 yards.
