The Bountiful Redhawks are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Box Elder Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bountiful was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past West Jordan 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Redhawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Bountiful's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carpenter Dylan, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Dylan's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Box Elder gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on Ridgeline with a sharp 10-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bees have posted against the Riverhawks since March 9, 2018.
Kennadie Blackmer was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Blackmer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Quincey LIsh, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Daniels, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Box Elder was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ridgeline only posted a batting average of .048.
Bountiful's record is now 2-3. As for Box Elder, their record now sits at 1-0.
Bountiful came up short against Box Elder in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, falling 4-1. Can the Redhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
