Ever Silvente was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Brayden Habuda was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian got the win against Seffner Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-1. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.
Northside Christian also got a great performance from Ronald Causby as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Causby has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Elijah De La Concha was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. James Pitts also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Northside Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seffner Christian only managed three hits.
Northside Christian pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Canterbury, their record is now 20-9.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canterbury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Northside Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canterbury might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Northside Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
