McGuffey came out on top against Steel Valley on Monday thanks in part to Julianna Ward's efforts. Ward scored three runs while going 2-for-4, which was good enough to set a new career-high in runs.

Looking ahead, Ward and McGuffey will be playing in front of their home fans against Waynesburg Central at 4:15 p.m. on May 7. The Highlanders have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since May of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
