How many Great Lakes teams are in this week's Top 25 high school football rankings?
Silos, smokestacks, steeples and stadium lights. The Great Lakes region is molded by its horizon. North Coast communities are defined - in part - by Friday nights.
Here's our latest look at the top prep football teams in a landscape that houses the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Lambeau Field, the Big Ten Conference, Notre Dame and several of the top high school programs in the history of the sport.
State champs, national acclaim, big-time talent. North Coast football is a force. So are the following teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Muskego (Wis.) remained unbeaten last week with a 56-14 win over Catholic Memorial (Waukehsa, Wis.) in a meeting of defending WIAA state champions.

failing to score 41-points or more for the first time in a game this season, the Knights beat rival
St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) 30-0. Arizona State recruit and senior running back
Deamonte Trayanum scored two second quarter touchdowns as Hoban built a 21-0 halftime lead at the University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium.

Tyler Macon completed 14-of-18 passes for

program’s all-time leading passer (6,056-yards and counting) with a 41-yard touchdown pass to junior receiver and Ohio State recruit
Jayden Ballard on the Tigers’ first play from scrimmage in a 56-0 win
Firestone (Akron, Ohio). Ballard added an 87-yard punt return for a touchdown as Massillon led 49-0 at half.

8. Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, Pa.) – 6-0 Last Week (8): The Tigers finally surrendered the season’s first points but they still scored a 76-7 win over
South Williamsport (Pa.). Southern Columbia scored 42-first quarter points and led 69-0 at half. Senior running back and Michigan recruit
Gaige Garcia ran for three touchdowns to set the
PIAA career rushing TD record, while senior receiver and Ohio State recruit
Julian Fleming caught two touchdown passes to set the
PIAA career receiving TD mark. Fleming also set the PIAA career receiving yardage mark (4,442 yards and counting). The win added to the Tigers 77-game regular season win streak - also a PIAA record.

Matthew Rueve completed 31-of-45 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns as the
Bombers outlasted rival Moeller 27-24. Junior receiver
Liam Clifford caught 13 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns.
