The Chagrin Falls Tigers lost against the Mayfield Wildcats back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Chagrin Falls took a serious blow against Mayfield, falling 63-34. Chagrin Falls has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Avery Russell and Amelia Bencko certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Russell scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds, while Bencko scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds. Russell scored a full 32.4% of Chagrin Falls' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Chagrin Falls' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chagrin Falls will take on Chardon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mayfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
