East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] is 3-0 against North Nodaway since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] will head out to challenge the North Nodaway Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to the Titans on the road by a 55-41 margin. While East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer 12-8 in the first quarter.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lizzie Schlueter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. That was a full 39% of East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s points, marking the 18th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Rainy Nordhausen was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, North Nodaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 40-15 to Gilman City.

East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9. As for North Nodaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Nodaway in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 42-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
