The McClintock Chargers will take on the Seton Catholic Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
McClintock will bounce into Friday's game after beating Apache Junction, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. McClintock had just enough and edged out Apache Junction 3-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since March 29, 2024.

McClintock got a great performance from Dallon Schmidt as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Schmidt has posted since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, McClintock saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Nemecek, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Seton Catholic posted their biggest win since March 11, 2024 on Thursday. Everything went their way against Dobson as Seton Catholic made off with a 22-6 victory. The Sentinels have beaten the Mustangs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.
Max Peterson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jax Minnis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Tialoc Del Rosario was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .718. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dobson only posted an OBP of .417.
Seton Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for McClintock, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
McClintock came up short against Seton Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 4-0. Can McClintock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
