Monterey waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Watsonville Wildcatz. Considering the Dores have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Myers made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk).
