While losing is never fun, Kenton Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 697th, while London is ranked 344th).
Despite the loss, Kenton Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Summer Swords dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Swords continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Jonathan Alder is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Kenton Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Jonathan Alder took their win against Kenton Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 44-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jonathan Alder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
