Claymont saw some tournament action  on Thursday. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Martins Ferry Purple Riders.
 Lilly Riker paced Claymont's offense, picking up ten kills. Riker got some help from  Elah Davis and her 14 assists.  Sydney Ronald and  Jilli Poletti kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Claymont has  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record  this season. As for Martins Ferry, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-5.
 Claymont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Martins Ferry, they will welcome Tuscarawas Valley  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
