At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aleisa Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Elk Grove got the win against Folsom on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-0. The Thundering Herd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, Elk Grove let Brooklyn Landrum and Kadence Pettis run wild. Landrum went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Pettis went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Pettis has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Lauren Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Manteca hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Elk Grove struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Manteca suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Elk Grove in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Will the Buffaloes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
