Freeway recap September 10, 2013
Buena Park moved up to 228 from 295 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Freeway. The Coyotes were able to make move up by besting Schurr 41-14.
Troy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to first in the league. Earlier in the week, the Warriors triumphed over Walnut 33-7.
Troy's dynamic duo of Kyle Blumer and Bailey Frame proved to be unstoppable against the Mustangs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Blumer threw for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns and Frame had 92 yards receiving. Dominic Vaccher helped Troy's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 64 yards.
Kevin Hastin's team's dynamic duo of Blumer and Frame proved tough for Walnut to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Blumer put up the best numbers in passing as the Warriors bested Michael O''Shields' team.
Deven Boston was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 253 yards on 23 carries as Buena Park beat the Mustangs. De'Quan Brown also contributed to the rushing game with 28 yards on the ground.
Frame was the best receiver in Freeway this week as the Warriors bested Walnut.
Boston was a force in the backfield as Anthony White's team bested the Spartans.
He went 13-23 with 1 interceptions.
Sunny Hills took down Santa Ana 57-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
