Susquehannock and Northeastern are an even 3-3-1 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Warriors will welcome the Bobcats at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Susquehannock is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Susquehannock is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Kennard-Dale just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-1. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Rams' pitcher proved too tough.

Ella Wetzel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Susquehannock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Karst, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northeastern). They put the hurt on William Penn with a sharp 24-4 win on Friday. The Bobcats have beaten the Bearcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bearcats has come to flipping the script.
The team relied heavily on Leah Himes, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Alaina Dubbs was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
Northeastern picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Susquehannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Northeastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Susquehannock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Northeastern, though, as they've been averaging only 2.3 strikeouts. Will Susquehannock keep running through batters, or will the Bobcats buck the trend?
Susquehannock skirted past Northeastern 6-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
