The Glendora Tartans will face off against the Yucaipa Thunderbirds at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendora's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Yucaipa's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Glendora is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Citrus Valley by a score of 4-1.
Brayden Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Glendora's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Grable, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Those two runs gave Grable a new career-high. Another was Aiden Yamazaki, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Yucaipa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Serra on Thursday.
Logan Pashman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jason Franco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Zarate, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Glendora is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Yucaipa, they pushed their record up to 18-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Glendora couldn't quite get it done against Yucaipa when the teams last played back in May of 2018 as they fell 7-3. Can the Tartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
