Hickory Ridge fought the good fight in their overtime  match against West Cabarrus  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of  3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Cabarrus this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-1  back in September.
 Aiden Bender and  Caleb Senthil scored both of Hickory Ridge's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.
Hickory Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-2. As for West Cabarrus, their victory was  their tenth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 21-1.
